EQ Classes as Good Car Model NamesFollow

Was driving groggily to pick up morning coffee and saw a Nissan Rogue in front of me. I always wonder about the thought that went into some car model names. (Like all the desert wind names from VW: Sirocco, Tiguan.... ugh.) I'm thinking "Rogue" isn't really all that great a model name for a car. Although maybe some guys like to be thought of as "roguish." Not sure most people care all that much about car brands. I have driven a Rav4 and what the heck does that mean?

But in any case here's my take on the "suitability" of EQ classes for model names for cars. Let's hear what y'all think!

Great! I'd drive a car with this name, all things being considered:

Warrior (Yeah! Any muscle car or large SUV would work with this name)
Paladin (Even more options here, almost any type car could be called Paladin without a downside! Someone told there are Paladins in the Horde now in WoW so it isn't even just a goody-good name today!)

Pretty good, Might not be MY cup of tea but I'm sure would evoke positive connotations for many car shoppers.

Wizard (I'd consider driving a Porsche Wizard! Evidently this was the name of a car made from 1931-33!)
Magician (I'd consider driving a Maserati Magician!)
Ranger (This was a GM brand back in the 70s, the only EQ class other than Rogue (and Wizard) used for a car model name, AFAIK. Maybe GM retired this because of negative images arising from this class always being used to "eat" harmtouches in raids... )

Meh. Not great but no worse than Rogue, I guess...

Rogue (I would have brought back the Ranger name before using this but maybe Nissan couldn't pry "Ranger" away from GM)
Berserker (not sure any car maker would want to imply their auto could cause this level of damage!)
Enchanter (cutesy name, I could see it for a tiny fuel-efficient hybrid car small enough to almost fit in a purse)
Shadowknight (similar problems of necromancer below altho SK is a bit less obvious with the malevolent connotations)
Shaman (Would be marketable to a segment, but most carmakers would want a model name with wide appeal)


Lousy. IMO just does not "work" as an auto model name.

Cleric (maybe if I'm a minister and even then I bet a minister wouldn't want it)
Beastlord (nah! Can't imagine this going over)
Necromancer (maybe for an undertaker with a ribald sense of humor and business so good he doesn't mind pissing off potential customers?)
Druid (my all-time favorite class but I just can't see myself driving a Chrysler Druid!)
Monk (worked for a TV series but automobile... nah, can't see it!)
Bard (too short a name; I just don't see it. A "Mitsubishi Bard"? A "Ford Bard"? Nah, I'd use almost any other class first...)

Yeah I hate cryptic short alpha-numerical names which say nothing about the car. Like SUV models available today with "names" like A3, X2, Q5. Although I've always loved Jaguar cars like the XJ6 and XKS.

Right? It's like someone in the creative design dept slept with a thesaurus under their pillow. I had no idea Tiburon was Spanish for shark until I bought one...car, not big fish with a mouthful of sharp pointy teeth.

Yeah, I agree. Sounds better than a Nissan Rogue. I could even produce the video showing the muscle car and its headlights cruising thru a rainstorm in a dark street-lit city...
