This race sounds promisingFollow

Elvaan are actually the strongest class in the game, physically. Humes are the most balanced. Tarus are stronger in magic.

I evetually want to become a Ranger would this race and a class as a Monk be a good choice?

it can be ok alot of races r better at ranger then elvaan because they have low agl
a ranged weapons acc is determined by agl
but if u boost agl with equipment they can be decent because a mithra has like 16 more agl but a elvaan has like 12 more str and more hp

so it realy comes down to what U want to be in the case of a ranger all but taru there pretty close to each other after the proper equipment is worn

ud think elves wud be gd archers with all the mystical stories and even the big elven archer at the top of the page but i would recommend to go into warrior with an elf then advanced job have dark knight because the magic will boost the MP

Well thats what id do neways! and dont go straight into ranger because wen ur low lvl ranger ur acc is very low and then quite frankly ur stuffed so be a ranger after building up a melee job

yea, The Elvaan will most likly be my first choice. Its going to be fun as hell playing this game.I jsut have to wait till tommorrow to get it.

Im thinking of being a Warrior, and then when I get to level 30 becoming a Dragoon.

Oh im sure you could find downsides to most combos, but i think im going Elvaan Dark Knight/Warrior too. That or Paladin. It seems like a great combination. I think that with secondary jobs, though, it might be smarter to go white mage or black mage instead of darknight/paladin, but i guess i dont know enough about the benefits of the jobs yet.

yeh worrier/dark knight would be good but have dark knight as a sub because u really dont wanna rely too much on magic because these elves arnt good magicians but u shud have some magic to back things up e.g healing if ur by urself or u wanna save the magic guy in ur party the MP and also the offensive spells and power ups

would these guys make a good samurai and should I star with warrior and go to samurai or go from theif to samurai?

Actually NO... The Galkan start out stronger but the Elvaan end up the Physically strongest race (e.g. Highest str.) The galkans end Up with highest HP(meatshields) Hopefully this will be changed in a patch, not to nerf the elvaan as they are supposed to be the best sword fighters but atleast to improve the Galk's so that they are better with maybe great axes/pole arms/Great swords/Scythes. The Galkans should get a str boost just to atleast justify the look of a hulking muscle mountain.

I was thinking of going for dragoon with samurai as a subclass as an elvaan. Would this be any good? Is there a better subclass for dragoon?
