just wanted to know what is/are the most common or best suited jobs for Elvaans?

I've found the above description to be very true:
"Elvaan excel in the combat classes, making excellent Warriors and Monks and decent thieves. In the magic classes, they make better white mages than black mages, but are not the best at either."
So best starting jobs are WAR or MNK, though many Elvaans enjoy playing the others.
