Is it possible to change my characters name without deleting the character and starting over from scratch?

Nope.

One thing you can do is Spend the extra Dollar, create another character.(with correct name)... Send all your Gil and other Shtuff to that character. Close but no cigar.

Maybe petition a GM.

Sucks

I know it must be possible, during the Asura emmigration they were doing it.....

If they'll do it, it's probably something they'll try to charge you like an obsene ammount of money for. good luck

Wow, to bad it's not easy, I would have liked to change my name to "Col Sanders" just before I did the Chicken Quest (chochochochobo thing)

FOr a little trivia...

did anyone notice that when you use the random name generator.. the word Namingway appears next to it?

Is Namingway in any other game other than FF2(4)?

I think the only reason they let people change their names during the emigration to Asura was if two people had the same name coming from different servers.

I think the lads at Penny Arcade put it best with this:

BTW, Luong... are you asian by any chance?
