Hello,
Can someone please explain the Magic system for DAoC? I have started a BoneDancer and have noticed I get new spells regardless if I train or not. I have heard alot of people talking about spec. Now my question is does specing in a certain spell line just make those spells better or do you actually get more spells from that line?

Ok, heres the low-down. As a caster, you recieve spells in two different manners. Spells recieved upon simply leveling up are referred to as 'baseline.' You gain these spells REGARDLESS of how you spend your trains as it is purely based on what level you are. On your spells window, the top 3 selections are the 'baselines' you gain spells from each level. The second manner of gaining spells is based soley off trains. You gain spells in the lower 3 sections of the spells window by training the associated skill. These are referred to as 'spec.'
