They just updated. We are getting a new expansion called Catacombs. All the graphics will be far better, I have most of mine turned down though. Player model upgrade, blinks, fingers move all that jaz.

Hmmm, SWG must not be all that great if the best use of your time is to come here and ridicule DAoC players.

I've been considering it too. Been playing Final Fantasy XI since it came out in the states, and i'm missing DAoC. FFXI is so horribly balanced. They don't know what the word Nerf means. The economy is terrible, mainly because of the Auction House, that compels every player to have all best possible equipment, because if they don't, they are ridiculed.

The only thing that keeps me in FFXI are my friends. If only I could convince them to try DAoC, i know they would like it.

Sorry leo, i thought your sig was a statement about DAoC. :)

By all means, do come back. I've been playing since January, and it keeps getting better. New Frontiers is <insert 'in' slang for 'really insanely great'>.

Fred, I am in the exact same boat as you. Been playing FFXI I hate it and its evil GM's, and the 1337 c10n3r5. I'm coming back and it sounds like its doing great.

FFXI characters don't know the meaning of Power. Until they can solo even matches and toughs without breaking a sweat, and party to kill 3+ IT mobs at once, they have nothing to hold over DAoC!

lol, i too have been playing final fantasy XI, and i was thinking of coming back to DAoC, i was wondering, i heard merc's suck now, have a lvl 35 thrust saracen merc so if they're worthless i'll stick with FFXI, but dying 5 times in one night isn't very healthy and i need a break, and if you know anything about FFXI bsts can take out 6 even matches in a row, that is power

Was a DAoC veteran playa, left cause it sucked my life away, so i picked up ffxi to play instead, because i figured it wouldnt be as good ... i.e. i wouldnt play it very often heh.

but i do miss DAoC. has Platnium come out yet?

lol if you think final fantasy won't suck up your life, your way off, the whole purpose of FFXI is to take time, everything you do takes forever, and if you don't have alot of time on your hands it's not even worth playing, getting into a group for an hour is pretty much useless if you have to leave, and be ready to spend hours upon hours of your life camping for worthless keys

Platinum is out. I have it.

FFXI is awful if you're a "casual" gamer. I left it because the required balanced groups were awful...

Also, I found a lot of prejudice there, based on nationality that I decided I didn't need to put up with...

I'm back for now... The biggest issue I have is that the game seems to have more lag issues for me than it did before... and I have a better system now than then... if they work out those lag issues, though, it's looking pretty good.

I'm still deciding what I think about the "new" RVR... I see issues with it.
