So. I've got a valewalker... He's, like, level 6 or 7. Can't recall. As one would expect, I started in the Grove of... Domnon or whoever it is you spell it (yes, I know it's not right... I would look it up, but I need to sleep shortly)... anyway... so.. my trainer gave me a scythe. The basic training scythe. Since it gives me levels with my scythe ability, I'm certaintly not going to buy something else jsut yet... it's still yellow to me, even. But, out of curiosity, I spoke with... ah.. Syana or whoever the nice lady who sells scythes is... and she made me an offer... one time only deal.. to trade my scythe in gor another model... Quite frankly, I'm torn. I've poked around online and can find no mention of her doing this... much less what she'll give me for it.
A part of me suggests trading it in NOW and usoing whatever she givesme, as it'll quoite likely be better then what I'm using now.... on the other hand, There's a possibility, I supose, that she may give you somethign randomly, or that what is given depends on my level. In which case, it would probably be best to wait until the sythe I'm using now is blue to me, then trade... but... I stil lworry and wonder... because once I hand over that scythe--while not an amazing scythe, it's respectable for my level, I beleive-- It's gone and I'm stuck either bying a new one or using what she gives me and.. well.. yes.
Anyone know what she'll give me and can tell me? I asked a few valewalkers online at the time, but the few that replied didn't remember... or didn't know...
so.. anyhelp would be much appreciated.

Im pretty sure, not positive, that if you turn in your scythe you get a better one, OR the initiate Scythe gets repaired. As for me my Valewalker is level 12 now and I stuck with my initiate scythe (cons green at 11) until just yestserday when I did "Whatcha Gonna Do", a level 12 quest in Domnann and got the Shadowscythe (Oj/Yellow at 12) so I never really exchanged mine, but if you do buy a better scythe and stop using your initiates be prepared to not hit as well as you did when you were using the +1 to scythe from your initiate scythe!

When you trade it in, you get a new scythe.
Now I'm not sure if it is level dependent (I think it is, but what extras you get I don't know) but I assume it must be. I traded mine in quite quickly as I had no cash and got one that was yellow to my level (6).
The initiate scythe is ok, but I held back on buying a new scythe for quite a few levels. When I did, and bought a ferrite war scythe (or something like that - 6.4dps spd 3.8), I couldn't believe the damage increase. From 15-20 damage against Crypt Spiders upto 35-45 just by upgrading. My advice is keep your scythe yellow or orange.
