I have been playing the trial ver of DAOC and have just purchased the Platinum Edition.

Will I be able to just install the plat edition over the trial ver and just login with my old account details (from the trial).

Thing is I dont wanna lose my characters.

You can preserve your quickbar and dialog box interface customization by backing up your current charname.ini file and then copying it back over after your install the new version.

For example, my character name is Adiatha so my customization file name is Adiatha-135.ini. (I believe the 135 signifies the Gaheris server.)

After I installed Trials of Atlantis I found my old *.ini file which was in the older c:\Mythic\Isles folder and copied it over to the c:\Mythic\Atlantis folder.

Further, I think your key board customizations are stored in
keyboard.dat
