Well, I'm on more than I care to admit, and a lot more than is probably healthy...My main character is a 35 eldritch named Cealenwraith, and I am fast absorbing the joys of nuking the crap out of anything I can get away with (up to oj solo). I also have a 17 Blademaster I trot out once in a while (I've only been playing a month).
As for the best class etc. to play, I would suggest finding a race/class character that either mirrors or opposes your own closely. Interaction with other players is a lot more natural that way...you will be more yourself obviously with a character that resembles your own traits, but on the other hand it IS about roleplaying and my BladeMaster is getting to be quite the flirtatious little badass! When you decide your first Hib's identity, talk to the other players for that class, and use their information shamelerssly! They WANT you to become a good player! Also, if you want to think about starting another, you can do, for example, a /eldritch [zone] and it will tell you the names and levels of all the eldritches in that zone. TALK to them, get their advice and then follow your personal plan for the character.
Welcome to Hibernia! Oh, and you might want to keep your past Alb affiliation to yourself, at least for a while, because Hibs just tend to really, REALLY dislike Albs...and that's putting it mildly. Happy Gaming!
