#1 Sep 01 2004 at 3:53 AM Rating: Decent
Hey guys!
Im about to switch the the boooring and mundane Albion to always green and cheerful lands of Hibernia:). The only question is: where should i start a char. On my previose server (Guinevere) there were very few hibs...accualy I havent met a single one:(. The truth is i reached only level 22, but that also means that if i start playing there ill be alone in the bg, which i wouldnt like a lot:). So im waiting for ur opinions and suggestions

PS. which class is the most needed recently?

thanks a lot

...and answer soon so I can get started:)

Even though my post may be waaaaaay late lol try Merlin Hib. It is the most populated server and I have toons there and we do alot of Bg things just not too organized imo. I couldnt begin to tell you what class is most needed. So for that you are gonna have to do trial and error.

Well, I'm on more than I care to admit, and a lot more than is probably healthy...My main character is a 35 eldritch named Cealenwraith, and I am fast absorbing the joys of nuking the crap out of anything I can get away with (up to oj solo). I also have a 17 Blademaster I trot out once in a while (I've only been playing a month).

As for the best class etc. to play, I would suggest finding a race/class character that either mirrors or opposes your own closely. Interaction with other players is a lot more natural that way...you will be more yourself obviously with a character that resembles your own traits, but on the other hand it IS about roleplaying and my BladeMaster is getting to be quite the flirtatious little badass! When you decide your first Hib's identity, talk to the other players for that class, and use their information shamelerssly! They WANT you to become a good player! Also, if you want to think about starting another, you can do, for example, a /eldritch [zone] and it will tell you the names and levels of all the eldritches in that zone. TALK to them, get their advice and then follow your personal plan for the character.

Welcome to Hibernia! Oh, and you might want to keep your past Alb affiliation to yourself, at least for a while, because Hibs just tend to really, REALLY dislike Albs...and that's putting it mildly. Happy Gaming!

hehe... Left alb for hib too, but that was a good while ago =p as far as what class is needed, it's all the same with each realm i've found, healers and tanks. Most just want to nuke the crap out of things with caster or sneak around as a stealther. I'm on nimue, small populated server but a lot of community, everyone just about knows everyone almost, which makes it easy to start up friendships with people because you run into them alot =p And i've always been a firm believer in play what you want rather than what's needed, reason being it then becomes more like others are dictating how you should play and how you should spec, which just isn't fun at all. On alb i was an ice wiz, pbaoe'ed the crap out of anything that came near me and i loved it =D Came to nimue became a tank, it has it's moments these days when RvRing mostly do to being reduced to being a siege bot, OF was better as a tank. But anyway, pick what yah' love and go with it =p Have fun =p
