Re: Snowdonia and Castle SauvageFollow

Hello everyone! I have a couple of questions actually. Firstly though, I've been playing this game since April now, and I love it. I consider myself **somewhat** experienced with the game, but with all the updates over the past couple of months, some things puzzle me:

1) For some reason, I can no longer access the realms beyond Castles' Snowdonia or Sauvage. All of a sudden it says "You don't have the requirements to enter this realm.." This is even though I have before.. I've tried it under DAoC SI and DAoC ToA, but to no avail.

2) Hey - What's up with the guards on the top floors of these castles? Not really a bother, but I used to be able to wander anywhere in those castles... I'm just curious is all.

Thank you in advance, and happy adventuring!

The last major patch implemented was 1.70.. the addition of Mythic's new free expansion: New Frontiers.

You need to go to camelotherald.com and find the link to download the patch. It's fairly large so be prepared to take a while to get it all. Everything past the border keeps (the frontiers) is now an individual zone all in itself. This also explains the armsmen upstairs that block you from going any further. Because that half of CS and Snowdonia overlaps the new zone. So go download the NF expansion, and come see what all the hype's about.

Aye - Thank 'ye. I didn't know about the "New Frontiers" download.. It did fix one problem: I can go to the realm beyond Snowdonia / Sauvage.

However, the Briton Armsmen are still at both castles and I can't get beyond them.. Like I said - Not really a problem, but more of a curiousity.

Thanks for the quick response to my question though! :-)

Yeah, they'll always be there. the half of CS/snow that they're "protecting" is overlapping into the NF zone. Think of CS and Snow like a cube.. if you touch the north wall of this cube it will load the new frontiers zone. obviously for realistic purposes mythic wants you to port to NF through the door, but in actuality if you could get past the armsmen (or the walls or whatever is blocking you from touching the wall of this cube) it would port you into NF. So they put them there. Everything that used to be on that side of CS or snow is on the other side now.
