#1 Sep 10 2004 at 7:31 AM Rating: Decent
Hey all its been about 5-6months since ive played and im not sure what i want to start between these 3 classes, i personally always like stealth classes and assassins but ive learned in the past that mythic likes to gimps players therefore i dont know which is the best in these 3 to start...I have some experience with a hunter but never made a scout or ranger. which class would throw out the most dmg with his bow? pls can someone give me some honest answers?i also dont kno what mythic has done to any of these classes in the past 6 months..

I play a 50 scout and love him. Currently albion scouts hibernian rangers have access to the slowest bow in the game (duskwood immolated bow, 16.5 dps, 5.8 spd.... midgard hunters version is 5.3) thus making them capable of doing the most damage in one shot.

Scouts have access to specline shield, hibs dual wield, hunters use spear.

Scouts have the longest range of all the archer classes.

Each class definitely has it's ups and downs. Depending on your playstyle, you could pla any of them and be happy with your choice.

Ever since NF range is the only way to go unless u an a ns/sb/inf. 8 v 8 is gone... But, if you wanna **** of casters then just make a scout, infil, or reaver. You understand what Im saying yes yes?

Hey az. You know about Hunters. Ive got this dumbass in my guild saying a hunter(with 0 in bow) can camp the EXIT to POC. He says a hunter should train in slam. Says it works by slamming the target then 2 shotting them, all the while having 0 in bow? I call ********* What do you think?

Bullsh*t. One, hunters can't spec shield, so no slam. Only scouts can do that. If they get a good stun style off, sure they can take one or two shots (but there is an immunity timer, so they need to run through, /face and then draw). But a hunter not specced in bow is like paladin not specced in slash/thrust/crush. Gimp. I wish a hunter would try that sh*t with me. That answer your question?

Thank you! Now Im going to go post this on my guild board. What a dumbass. I argued the point with him last nite and the rest of the guild called BS as well, I hate dumbasses.

Hmm, out of the 3 a Scout is definetley the stronget archur. But Hunters are nice because they can use their pet to interrupt a caster (very useful in pvp). Rangers are a mix between the bow capabilities of a Scout, and the melee capabilities of a Hunter.

I've only played Hunter to 50 out of these 3 classes and I find the following;

1. Pet is good as said before to interupt casters .. i can even insta cast pet and then restealth before the pet engages thus remaining hidden until i find a nice firing spot.

2. Scouts and Rangers generally beat me in 1v1. Maybe it's a RR or Artifact thing but they both have longer range and better melee skills.

3. Hunter is fun to play if you dont want 'easy' mode. (not insinuating scout or ranger are easy, I guess the whole archer class is harder than some FOTM classes)

It's like marmite I guess. You'll either love it or hate it.

scouts are the best w/ bow. rangers are best melee, and hunters are at the disadvantage. i have a 37 infil, a hunter can almost hit w/ spear as hard as my garrotte so far. idk bout at 50, but, infil will win a melee fight always. ranger vs hunter vs scout ranger wins.

not really ghanha, at 50 scouts are tough to deal with because of shield slam. They'll pelt you with arrows until you're face to face with them, that's only if you can live long enough to get in their face, then they'll use shield slam on you, leaving you stunned then crit shot your *** into oblivion. A ranger with Forest Shadow spell is just really good at kiting their enemies.
