Luri Shield Hero could it work?

I was bored with my ranger and wanted somthing diffrent so I thought of a luri shield hero:

Starting: 50str 50con 90dex
Spec: 28parry 50shield 50pierce OR 49parry 29shield and 50pierce
dunno which would be better

would that have any chance of working out? I know that luris have low con and to be a tank you need high con so I figure if I get all my stuff sced to max con str dex and quick he would make a decent tank?

it'd probably work, but i'd only take shield up to 42 for slam, then put the rest into parry and go blades instead of pierce. With capped dex 42+anything in shield makes you really hard to hit and with (not sure what parry would be) parry high speced it will make up for the style penalty it gets a little, which will make even hard to be hit, especially when you are fully buffed. have a friend that's a pure blunt/shield spec furby hero, and when he's fully buffed he's extremely hard to hit, so i can only imagine the high keen dex how hard they'd be to hit =)

I dont understand why people say luri heros wouldnt work out, to me they seem to be better, I luris are blocking machines corse they have low con but as far as dmg goes ive noticed im doing about the same as my friends that are around the same level. I was on the catacombs forums just now and noticed alot of luri templets said to go celtic spear, that I dont see working. The blocking would make up for the low con if you manage to block most of the hits and ofcourse most of the time you will be in a party anyway. Btw should I go blade or blunt? I thought pierce because thats what people told me to go on my ranger but read the forums and aparently the str gets to be the same as dex so doesnt really matter sept blades/blunt do more dmg.

Luris aren't a good choice for tanks because they have low Con. Con is what tanks is all about, taking the hits so casters/healers don't have to.

They would be the same as elven blademasters, besides were blocking machines lol what we lack in con we make up for in blocking/parry and you can allways get con str dex and quick sced into your stuff. Oh and evade but I dunno what that works off of.

keens make really good tanks when played right, a really good friend of mine on hib/nimue is a keen lw champ, Ashalay, and when she was rr4 (this back in OF) she was able to melee down a rr9 BM to 1-2% in a straight duel, no RAs or MLs or anything used, just a straight fight. she's rr5 nearing rr6 now, but anyway, keens can make very good tanks, most go with lw or spear though for higher dmg, but a shield keen with the high dex can block an insane amount of time, and con isn't that big of a deal, str and con is a simple thing to mod

Keen meaning luri right? I thought about going LW or CS but those two for dmg right and blunt or slash(or did I want piercing) with shield less dmg but blocks alot and could widdle them down I spose, but the thought of a luri using a large weapon pwning albs would be fun lol. Thanks a ton for all the info Sushas.
