Thinking about coming back...Follow

I am considering coming back to Camelot. But there are some things keeping my away from the game, that I would like to point out, to see how they are now. I left Camelot because I am one of the people that wasn't too happy with ToA. I logged in to find out that everyone was always doing "master level" raids and "leveling items" instead of RvRing. I have NOT played since New Frontiers came out...I only know what i've read about it. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to bring me back to the game. After seeing Catacombs the game interested me again. But again, I wasn't too sure.
A friend of mine showed me Catacombs and said it made it alot easier and faster to level in the game...which was a good thing to me. She also said that it was very solo friendly if you wanted to...and very group friendly at the same time. She never mentioned anything about RvR...how it stands, is it still fun? Is it active? In general I'm asking about the current state of the game.
How is the game for lower levels, is it hard to get from 1-20 still? Ever since /level it was too hard for the newbies to level up, which made alot of my friends quit playing.
As far as the new classes go...are they becoming too populated? Is every character you see a Vampiir, Banshee, Warlock, Valkyrie or Heretic? And are there any balancing issues with them?
If these questions could please be answered I would be greatly appreciative, thank you.

I give DAoC a one to two years before its gone. I'd personally pick up a new one but thats just me.

Lots of RvR to be had now with server clustering.

I have my main toons on Palomides (2nd most underpopulated server). used to be a total of 10-12 peeps in molvik (hibs, mids, and albs).

Logged on last night and in Molvik there was between 50 - 75

It was crazy busy with huge battles...just awesome.

From what I hear this is the same in Thid, Molv, Leirv (to a lesser extent), and NF.

Seriously, I love DAoC. I'm very disappointed lately with the game. I mainly sign in to RvR anymore. This game would rock if Mythic would take time to make changes to EACH server instead of a broad sweep.

Really depends on what server you play on. Cause RVR is royally hot on Percival and a few other servers I play. I think the clustering was a step in the right direction for low population servers but they seriously need to just integrate them. My warrior who's level 40 gets little to no help and he's guilded. I'm gonna have to solo his epics because the idiots on that server just bot, RVR, and ML.

Many times you'll get ML raids planned, that take place once or twice throughout the day, the majority of the spare time is on the frontiers taking keeps and towers, mostly towers now.

I fall into the problem of the /level question. I've found if you know where to solo it's not hard at all, that and not to mention if you can bother a crafter or two, most will do level 30 and under gear for free ;)

I strongly advise you to not bother soloing those epic quest. Almost from the get go, those quest are for two or more players, some steps requiring 5 or more. I have the same problem in getting help on my epic. Seems folks consider it a waste of time sense you get better stuff PC/SCed/Alched.

Gotta do what I have to, if I gotta solo it, I'll get the levels and do it.
