Problem with "Battlegrounds" questFollow

Okay, I think I might have messed up on the quest because I already knew what class I wanted to be, so I stopped following the guide when I came to the right trainer, upgraded my class and everything, but now it says in my quest journal to return to Sentinel Maitias. But when I go back to him and right-click him, nothing happens. Well that was a week ago and now I'm lvl 15 and it's still in my quest list and now I can't get any quests from my trainer in Tir Na Nog. Is this going to be a problem the rest of the game or is there a way I can finish the quest or get the quest removed or start it over. Getting really frustrated with it and I can't seem to find any quest guides for it anywhere on the Net.
