Your 100% right. Assassins had it bad just before this last patch came out, only because they couldnt get the CritStrike line off through all the brittles/BT. BTW this is just my opinion on how things
SHOULDSHOULD be. Im not saying that stealthers should win all fights. But 1v1 vs a caster 90% of the time the stealther should eat that caster alive. When I say that I will also agree with you that 1v1 vs a tank an assasin should have only a small 10% chance to win and only if he uses his RA's/ML's properly. This is how I see it to provide balance
Stealthers > Casters > Tanks/Hybrids > Stealthers. Before the last patch the game sat at
casters > all.
With this equation it should force casters to run with tanks for protection vs. stealthers and tanks to run with casters for protection vs. other casters. Casters are the range damage gods, this is why stealthers should roll them so easily, a stealther is the only class that is able to get close to a caster without getting killed first.
I dont believe that people should be out rolling casters (like they are now) because they are solo GODS. Which bd's, any hib caster w/stun, SM's, cabbies, sorcs are all solo Gods with the ability to qc CC and moc LT for incredible amounts of damage at a 1.2 sec casting speed even after moc.
Ok...so you have to use RA's to survive a fight against a class designed to kill you. Thats what the RA's are for. Considering, as a scout, if I get targeted by a caster unstealthed I have to A) stack up on Aom (3 or greater just to have a chance)
b) Use purge
c) Use IP
d) Most times use Sojourner ML9 or FZ
Just to survive long enough to restealth or get away which happens 10% of the time. Most times I dont live long enough to take 2 steps as my body explodes upon 1.2 seconds after a caster gets into range
Hopefully mythic will finally look upon archers and give us the needed fix that Assasins/hybrids/heavy tanks have gotten. For the longest time stealthers were resigned to hunting each other because those were the only targets they could safely take.
Archers have become an annoyance rather than the long range anti-caster they were designed as. Why? Because for me to do my max damage and even have a chance to kill a solo caster I
a) have to post 1.82 take two shots to kill BG and then BT
(even at rapid fire that is 3 total seconds of exposure to /face /qc *any spell) and I still havent done any damage.
b) One spell that interrupts me and I have to halve my damage and double my draw to do damage while he proceeds to moc destroy me this looks something like this

*You hit Robain for 600
*You hit Robain for 586
*You hit Robain for 650
*Robain hits you for 186
*You hit Robain for 400
*You hit Robain for 623
*You hit Robain for 400
*You kill Robain
And this happens 4 out of 5 times when I attack casters alone. Yeah I get a few kills. But more and more often I find myself holed up in a tower just to get rp's without having to sacrifice myself or every RA I have. This is why I have resigned myself to killing other stealthers.
