Besides! I want to see how my character survived through all of that mess. As for all of the new quests and content and etc, I plan on playing with some of the PS3 friends that are joining me with Arcanist and I can experience the game anew with that. Oh, and don't forget level sync. I imagine the dungeons are going to be level synced too. I doubt that us, the legacy-everything-at-50's will be bored. Hell, I have primals to beat, a house to build, and relic weapons and Ifrit Extreme to down.
This is actually the biggest reason why I'm not starting over again.
I don't have any endgame gear... just a few level 50 jobs, and all of the End of an Era storyline progression. But my character DID defeat the White Raven, and he was around before Bahamut's wrath. He's one of the heroes who was cast into the time rift. I want to see his story through.
Yoshi-P has said something about how the dialogue of the story cutscenes may be different for Legacy and non-Legacy players... I want to be sure my character is referenced accurately for participating in the End of an Era story. I know, it's kind of dumb, but I've always valued the quality of the story above most other things.
If there were a way to start on a new server but retain my character's history of being part of the End of an Era storyline, I might be tempted to start over. I will probably just play as my 1.0 character though, because, as I said, it's not like I've hit the wall of progress, or even come remotely close.
