Yeah I'm seeing the top 10 in maintenance. It lets me log in but the start option on the menu is not selectable
Yeah having more crew on hand at the NA/EU data center would be good...

Yeah, I just spent 10 minutes playing with the character maker, tried to select a NA/EU world and it said there were none. So I thought I'd just do a JP world. And then it said all worlds under maintenance. Haha, oh well. Figures I'd get an invite to the beta and then have to go spend the weekend with my girlfriend's family. It will be all the sweeter when I get to play next week though...
The nice thing is that even without a world you can make a character and save the profile. That's a neat addition.

Good point, I was looking at that and I didn't have time to investigate further, but are these character creation saves we make now going to be able to be carried over to live? I didn't notice if it was saved locally or not. Or if it's not saved locally, if they mentioned anything about it.
I keep getting connection lost when trying to log in. The beta forum is so slow....
Despite them not being available until next week, 1.0 characters do show up in the saved characters list.

Since they are wiping data at the end of phase 3, I'd assume not. But for phase 4, I'm pretty sure they will carry over to launch, unless they run into problems.
Btw, was just able to log into a JP server with the new character I just made.
I believe the customizations we make are saved local because i remember reading that when the benchmark comes out they will save aswell and save time when p4 comes out.
Yea I meant more the aesthetic character creation options, not the actual beta characters. If it's a local save that's nice, it means if you tinker with your character now you can get it right and not have to try to remember exactly what shades of everything you used later.

after few hours waiting it finally allowed me in, created the character, chose NA/EA server it gave me a msg "All servers under maintenance"
went back in, loaded appearance, created Character, this time selected a JP server, it only allowed me one of them, then told me "you cant create new characters in this server at this time"

They haven't loaded them yet.
Sounds like they're restarting NA/EU again, another Dev post in the Beta status thread a few minutes ago said.

I can load the JP worlds. I guess it just likes you better.
It allowed me to make a new character on migardsormr but it won't let me load my old one on Diabolos. Keeps saying something about unable to load world.
