Just wanted to let you know Wint, those screenshots really made me get excited about the PC release all over again.

I used you hardware post as a starting point for my upgrade agenda!

I am absolutely loving my new solid state drive, and RAM is dirt cheap nowadays. Going to wait until August to buy the Video Card upgrade. I will probably go with the 650 Ti.

Are you using x2 video cards for redundancy? Are you somehow getting both of them to crank at the same time without SLI enabled?

No I'm only using one right now, they're both installed but the game can't utilize SLI yet. That's one thing Yoshi said would be coming, I'm not sure if before or after launch.

SSD's are completely worth the money performance wise, I will never go back to optical again.

Nevermind, this was just posted a bit ago on the beta forums by Bayohnne

I had a hard time with the Magitech fight as well, until i figured out one of the mobs is healing. If you kill him fast enough, it makes it quite a bit easier. Also just let the NPC tank, but if he dies you might be screwed.

Has anyone else noticed how hard it is to heal the NPC's? When healing players, it takes maybe 2-3 cures to bring their health to full, but with NPC's it's a pain trying to get their health to full. Do they have ridiculous Vit stats, or ridiculously low (whatever stat raises your ability to receive heals, I think it's Determination?)?

Edit: I lol'd seeing you trapped in that barrel. Smiley: lol

Oooh, in that case I would very much like to see your SLI enabled screenshots! A side by side comparison would be awesome.

I'll certainly provide some once SLI is enabled. I've noticed that on other games like ME2/3 the Ti BOOSTs perform admirably. They're a great price point as well. That being said I've read SLI is overrated, and if I had the chance to do it over again I might have saved my money for a 780.

An update from the Beta Lodestone, "We confirmed that if you have installed the “GeForce 320.49 Driver Beta” graphic driver from NVIDIA®, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will show up as a customizable game (NVIDIA Control Panel > 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings). However, please note that we have not yet made the necessary adjustments on the program side to make the game compatible with SLI. Please be patient as we plan to have this ready by the official launch.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding."
