Hello guys!

Ok, so tomorrow I'll be joining Ultros for my first Beta experience in FFXIV:ARR. However, I'm having problems deciding which class I want to start with. So far, I'm trying to make my mind between Archer, Lancer and Conjurer. I have read many comments in the Beta Forums and most of them say both Archer and Conjurer are boring and repetitive. Thus, it seems Lancer seems the less "boring" class. For those who have tried the forementioned classes, do you find them fun to play? what are their advantages/disadvantages? which one would you chose adn why?

After phase 3 is over, the data will be wiped. This is good news for you! It gives you the opportunity to check out each class on your own without fear of getting stuck with some class you don't like. Play each one to say lvl 10 ish to get a feel for them, then you can make an informed choice on which one you liked the best.
Everyone's opinions of the classes will vary. the only way to know what you will like is if you try it yourself.

Edit: I took ARC to 25 in phase 2 and i liked the class a lot. I found them all to have something different, but likable.

If you like dragoon from any FF games you will like this. What got me hooked was the jump ability. Its not as flashy as THM/BLM but its sexier.

Just try them yourself. What's boring to one person is super fun to another. You can't rely on random people on an internet messageboard to tell you what you should play. No harm in trying them all. You might as well level classes to 10-15 and then decide which you enjoy best and continue that.

On top of this, leveling all those classes will only make your character stronger in the long run. The shared abilities should really come in handy. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about people calling classes boring right now. The temporary level cap and lack of jobs are going to prevent you from getting an accurate picture of what each class is actually like.
