Note: Dragon Quest X is a Square-Enix game, in no way am I taking business from them by posting this bit of info.
So, in case we have any Dragon Quest fans here; while you wait for the weekend to play FFXIV, perhaps you can tryout the new Dragon Quest X open Beta for the PC, which takes place all week (there's a time schedule though).
If you live in Japan, you can play online. If you live outside of Japan, you can still play the game offline. For those living in Japan, if you don't have a Japanese SE account, then you would have to create a separate one for this game.
Not sure if I can post the link to the site that explains how to navigate through the Japanese set-up, but a simple search would more than likely bring up the same site I found. Also, if you have chrome and use the "translate page" feature, then that would make navigating through the Japanese set-up much easier.
Also, I felt this was the appropriate place to leave this comment since it's for general discussions.
