I'm Lv.10 Conj - I dont' see any more quest in the cities cept for the next Conj quest @15. Do I now just go out and grind 5 levels via fates?

or

am I meant to take a Chocobo to another city and do those quest?

You're all caught up on main scenario and class quests? You can do guildleves/guildhests as well as FATEs.

Your main quests should take you to the other main cities... Not to mention your leves in horizon should shoot you up a lvl or two if you up the difficulty a lil on them...

There's probably quests at the other little settlements dotted around the map.

Check the nearest camps. You won't be sent to other cities until 15. I couldn't find my quests and the next one was at a nearby aethryte camp.

Best place to start is your class person, and the inn, see if you missed picking up a quest.

After that if nothing try the settlements in the central or north shroud. Something should come up.

Were you able to complete the level 5 quest where you examine the sword in the stump? I had a very difficult time getting into the instance and just left it for a day. Come to find out, it's a main story/mission quest and if you don't complete it, you can't open any of the others after. I realized I had missed a great deal by just leaving it alone. I was definitely in the same boat until I got that one done.

Shouldn't I be able to see the quest icons on the maps?

Also, can someone give me some hints on the map, it seems very confusing to look for locations.

At level 10 you go back to where you got your very first quest... It's a main story quest.

I'll do that then, I really want to enjoy t his game but some times it feels like I have to struggle to find something, like the maps, it's like they don't work the way you'd expect them too.

The quest icons only appear on the mini map for the zone you are in. If you're unsure what zone you should be in zoom he map out to the region level and the icon will appear next to it. I also noticed that some of the quests will point you to an area which is a darker colored circle with a dashed line border. I'm crazy color blind and it can be VERY hard to see especially when you have the map open and start moving. When you move the map goes semi transparent I can't see them at all.

Amen Brother, I hear you loud and clear. Frustrating. When I open the map and quests they are off the screen.
I have ps3. Its unclear which you have pc or ps3.
I ended up in places level 30's running around trying to find my quest location lol. Thank goodness I was
a Level one miner, so when I died it didn't affect me too much.

Zam linkskill was very helpful.

Have you tried completing objectives in your hunting log? I got a couple of classes to level 10 doing those alone. They will easily get you a few more levels.

My only gripe with phase 3 and beyond so far has been how all the content is gated to the main story. I understand they're wanting to introduce people to content, but if you fall off the wagon or don't ever come back. You won't realize how much you're missing, or might think the game is broken.

Good God, if there was any more hand holding in this game you would be tied to one of those human leashes they put on little kids.

In my opinion they should not add more "this is exactly what you do" features... I'd say it's already approaching the "too many" side of things without going so far as to make the game boring.

Maps are easy to navigate on the PS3. Square brings up the map and R3 moves around it.

And I agree, Para. A lot of the information is in game already if we're not afraid to experiment and explore.

If there isn't any quests in the city you're at, then you didn't pick up a storyline quest out in the world. You should check your quest hubs for the storyline quest symbol.
