Chat log commands?Follow

PS3 - I can't seem to access the chat log. Sometimes it doesn't show any activity. I'd like to
then go to the log and scroll up to see what action has been happening.

Is there a way to use the ps3 controller to page up or down to see what transpired?
I joined a party today and I wasn't getting any of the chat from them, but I couldn't find how to scroll up or down
for the logs.

I agree that it can be a bit tough to get the hang of the chat log on the PS3 system.

The default for the chat log is the "General" chat - which filters out Party text unless you change the default filter settings. In order to change to the "Battle" log (which contains party text by default IIRC - at work now) you have to press select until you are on the chat window, then press either L1 or R1 to change which log you are currently looking at.

In order to pull up the log of what has happened prior to the lines you currently see, when you have the chat log highlighted by pressing select, you can then press up on the D-pad so the cursor sits on the acutal chat log itself, then press up a few more times for the list of text to scroll up.

Again, i'm at work so this is going off the cuff based on my memories from last weekend. Hopefully you find it helpful
