Why didn't they wait on a console release?Follow

PS4 is right around the corner, is there some reason why they chose to not wait until then with a much more capable gaming machine?

They could have released a much better, non-hindered, PC game if they were able to take advantage of the next generation ps4 instead of the soon to be obsolete ps3. I fail to understand this.

They get a larger audience like that. They get the pc players the ps 3 player and in 2014 they will ALSO get the ps4 players since they said that a ps4 version will come at 2014.

The reason why they probably didn't wait for the PS4 release was because they probably didn't want to break their promise on releasing the game for the PS3.

This game runs much better now on my computer than it did at the first release over 2 years ago. I like this, and the game still looks great.

I'm sorry but I'm slow fellas and just got the smiley with the dead horse lol, too funny Smiley: lol

But yea what they said above, plus this game has been coming out for PS3 for 3 years now, they HAD to release it on the console. When the ps4 release comes out it'll look just as pretty. Although I don't thing it looks that bad personally considering the outdated specs of the PS3

lets see here... ps3 came out in 2006... its 2013 now.... thus 1million+ ppl own a ps3... that 1mil+ possible FFXIV players.... PS4 comes out around november... might have 100k owners at launch date.. MAYBE 250k.. thats 250k (or less) possible players..... now which of those possibilities sound like it would gain SE more money?

If i owned a business and had an opportunity to have 1million+ customers or 250k or less customers... which one do you think Id choose?

Remember, it's a seperate version for PS3 vs PS4, so it is more like 1million+ customers +/~250k or less customers with the route they are taking.

This will mean some people (like my wife and I) will not only have purchased two CE copies of the game when it originally came out (the rest really does kinda make us tools...), but we bought two copies of the PS3 version on pre-order for the upcoming PS3 release. We will also purchase 1 or 2 copies for the PS4 release when that finally comes out.

So, yeah, SE is pulling a possible extra 60 bucks out of us by releasing with the PS3 version. And while some people may wait for the PS4, the game itself is still coming out. And *if* it is successful, it will have developed and matured by the time the PS4 comes out, and the version for it will probably come out with an expansion bundled with it. Which will convince people like my wife and myself to purchase the PS4 version to get the expansion and access to play it on the PS4.

well the pc version looks better than the ps3 version and thats because of teh pc's hardward compared to the ps3s so since ps4 hardware will be better than ps3s its only safe to assume the ps4 version will look better as wll.. and since ps4 will also have party chat.. youll have a way of voice chatting with those who play on ps4 as well (if you have a ps4 too

just wait for it to come out on the xbox one, then you don't have to choose

Thank goodness it works with the PS3, cause I'm not shelling out hundreds of dollars (which I don't have) to play the game.

I'm still mad at them not giving PS3 access to FF11 when I had a PS2 and they discontinued support.
