Question regarding ping latencyFollow

As you know, Square Enix split FFXIV into three group: JP,NA,Europe.
My old LS from 1.0 decided to move to Durandal server that locate at Japan.
When I tested my latency for Durandal and Ultros server, I got 180-230 from Durandal and 35-75 from
Ultros. When I looked at the connection during world pick, durandal was poor and ultros was excellent.
How bad is 180-230 latency compared to 35-75? Is it alright to follow my LS and transfer to Durandal?
