Repair your gear with NPC's?Follow

I tried searching all around and could not find an answer for this so here's my quick question.

A lot of my gear from way back in 1.0 says I can't equip it because it needs to be repaired.

I found a npc in Ul'Dah who supposedly does such, but no matter where in my inventory or armoury I place the items, he won't give me an option to repair them.

What am I doing wrong? I'm sure this is probably something really simple... Thanks for any help.

I believe you need to be wearing it.

Well he says he can't equip them. So I guess your only other option is to be the appropriate DoH to repair them yourself or it might be possible to have someone who is one do it for you.

Does the gear say anything about requiring a certain job or class? You won't be able to equip it if you aren't on the correct class/job that it specifies. This was something they changed early on in 1.0 when they began changing things around.

You don't actually mention doing this, so I just want to double check --

When you go to the repair NPC and get the window, did you actually click the "Equipped" line? Because it's actually a drop down menu that also includes armory slots and inventory.

Well, it won't give me the option to equip them and unless they changed the rules on how you can equip things I should be able to equip them.

And yes, I tried the drop down menus including inventory with the stuff in my inventory and it still wouldn't show up.

If an Independent Arms Mender won't work for you, I'd definitely turn it in as a bug.

Maybe it just isn't recognizing that gear. Would do what they guy above me said report as a bug.
