All FFXIV 1.0 owners get the same edition of A Realm Reborn for free. If you bought the Collector's Edition, you will get the Digital CE of 2.0. If you bought the standard, then the SE of 2.0.

However, you don't get 30 days free like buyers of 2.0 do, but you get 14 days free.

If you don't remember your login info/have your old registration code, you might be SOL.
Speaking from experience. Have my disc and everything, character is on Lodestone, but I can't for the life of me remember my login/pw. Smiley: glare

SE account recovery is pretty simple. I couldn't remember some of the stuff for my FFXI account so I had to contact them. I think all I needed was my name and a product code from either FFXI or any one of the expansion codes tied to my account.

You can go to their site and figure out how to contact their help, most likely through e-mail or call them and get it sorted out on the phone. If you can remember what e-mail is tied to the account then your life will be a lot easier.

Edit: Derp, you pretty much said what I did already. That's what I get for skimming over all the posts at once. XD

If you're using the 1.0 account, no added free time.
If you're using a new account, added free time.

Pre-ordering ARR CE/Standard gives you early access and first 30 days free
If you have Legacy 1.0 you get early access and 14 days free
If you have 1.0 Non Legacy you still get 14 days free, but no early access
Now if your 1.0 and want early access you can pre-order a copy of standard/CE and apply the early access code to your current account (when the time comes)
Early Access is a separate code and is supplied from the vendor you choose to buy it from either by recipe or e-mailed at a certain date.
Caution though some vendors don't offer this code be sure to check prior I know all the sponsored vendors that Square lists are part of this program.

P.S. Phase 4 Open Beta (Rumored to start around the August 9th) will carry over to live if there is no major game breaking bug that would require deletion. It can also be treated as a early start as well. You will still need a Square Account to access this open beta check Loadstone for information regarding beta

If I'm not mistaken , you can add the free trial from the PS3 to an existing PC account. I'll look up the quote/source.

Edit: Source

Q:Let's say I purchase the Windows version, I get 30 free days to play, but can I apply these 30 days to my legacy account?

Quote:
A:No, you cannot. The 30 day trial period cannot be applied separately from the registration code included with purchase.

However, the PS3 version can be linked to your legacy account, granting you the 30 day trial period.
