Yeah, my GTX 770 is a year old and still posting Extremely High. No upgrades necessary here, this time.

I'll probably use it until it croaks out of warranty in two years.

Alright..so I ran it. I need to call the cable company a b itch, my DL speed is not where it should be (for what I pay for).
Any hoots..not sure why it judged me as a laptop? I 1st played XIV on a laptop, but currently play on a desktop.

It did that to me too. I think that's just the default for some reason. You can just change it.

Yup, you can tweak it for various levels. Run it at Maxiumum first and if that scores too low, drop down the graphics presets until it hits Extremely High. That's where you probably want to be playing for best performance.

Nvidia released an interactive DX9 vs DX11 comparison.

Well, there's your HQ grass finally. Bushes too. Wow. Doesn't make a lot of difference to most of the background, but the grass improvements really popped out at me.

It would probably be best to stick to one of two of the graphics presets for the sake of continuity. Personally I think that based on the engine being scaled to run on console we should stick to Maximum preset but for anyone curious, my score at the 'High(laptop)' setting was well over 22k @ 120+ fps. Looks pretty good even for only being able to see half the frames Smiley: nod

I gotta say though, seeing trailers and gameplay footage for the soon to be released korean MMO Black Desert makes me wonder what XIV could have looked like with higher resolution textures on an engine that wasn't scaled down to run on console. I'm not sure what role it will fill in such a saturated market, but it's definitely going to stand out for it's aesthetics. Looks ******* amazing.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.
