Some of them? Possible. The ones that say Goldsmith level 62 required? ...Probably not intended for release.

I have a feeling that they are but perhaps they are tied to their item level and not the class level. that or they are supposed to be fairly hard to make to keep the supply of HQs low.

I hope its like that but ill wait to see more of it, i like the idea of a higher then level 50 craft, makes it so you will have to have some good gear to help you craft it!

From the looks of it, most if not all of the items that require level 62 crafting are carry overs from 1.0. They should be in the game, but I don't have a clue how crafting them will work.

I was skimming through some of the new items on the DB and it is pretty awesome how you can get some great rewards from completing achievements. I mention this here because it seems like the primary way to obtain the best level 50 Tradecraft Main hands... although that entails crafting X# of items in each level range. 50 in 1-10, 300 in 11-20, 750 in 21-30, 1500 in 31-40, and 3000 in 41-50.

Pure speculation but......

In Beta 3, when I put on the best gear I had and saved it to the thingy that enables you to click change gear outfits (cant remember its name), it would automatically name the set.

When naming the set it would use a naming convention of <job> <level>.

For a level 1 conjurer, it would default the name to conj 1.

When I put on my high level characters with my best gear (including my crafting jobs, with well materia'd gear and AF Crafting Hat), it would save the job as GSM 60 (for example). That is, the effective level of the gear, would take you up beyond level 50 even though the character is only level 50. Fully geared in AF armour, my other jobs also showed as higher than 50.

Perhaps that is what is meant by level 62 goldsmith required. Just that your effective level needs to be 62, and you can get there with awesome gear to make the item.

Well, there's one way to verify that at least.

Once Phase 4 kicks in, If you see the recipes in your recipe book and they are not greyed out, then that's our answer.

Some of these items were possible to make in 1.0. The clinometer for example were part of the component for making the Astrolabe which was a THM two handed weapon and also something you needed for the BLM relic quest as you had to double meld two level IV tier materia to it. I don't remember those really being that high though. Some of the items were not things you could make but were drops from Garlean high level NM's or the keys for chests they dropped (Imperial Operative Wristbands for example). If these items are datmined then I can see where they got them from but it doesn't mean they are correct.

I was wondering the same thing, how are we supposed to craft that? I assume we'll find out once we redo our lvl50 quest trees.

The important part of these recipes and the tier just before them is that they are ilvl55 and ilvl70 gear that should be convertable to materia...

I could imagine you would get pretty good materia from a high level recipe. I feel at the level 55 recipes will be in the game, in the Eorzea collection video it showed some armour you could wear that is a level 55 recipe, like the Goldsmith's Turban was in the video.
