Any news on when the new client will be available?Follow
For those of us with less than adequate internet speeds XD.
I imagine you'll be emailed about it, or just keep checking for the announcement via the beta forums.

It's not the client. Just the launcher. It doesn't do anything useful (like downloading the client) yet.

Some folks in Japan have received emails with new PS Store promotion codes. Just hang tight.

They said PS3 client will be released later. And yeah this is not really the PC client, its a 2 minute download for the launcher. On Aug 15, the actual client will be released, so you'll want to run the launcher as soon as that happens.
Thanks for the heads up. I still haven't gotten around to upgrading my 1.5mbps connection XD.
My friend always wonders how I'm able to play games on it but I keep telling him that I played FFXI on dialup for PS2 and never had any issues... aside from being lagged out/booted when people would call >.>.

That's dedication, seeing as on your signature line you have leveled damn near everything to 99.

I went back to FFXI last year and server hopped. There really wasn't much else to do but level since my girlfriend and I didn't really know anyone to help us. I thought about getting a mythic weapon, but then realized that it took a minimum of a year of daily dedication for just one of 4-5 parts and I cried... No Kenkonken for me :(
