So I just went to go and preorder the collector's edition of FFXIV. I'm trying to log into my account via the store page, but I keep getting the "Credentials Invalid" message. I went to go and recover my password to see if maybe I was doing something wrong, but it turned out that I was able to log into my account just fine. I tried again to pre-purchase the collector's edition, but still got the "Credentials Invalid" message.
Is something going on with the SE store at the moment, or am I just obliviously doing it wrong?

So apparently the SE main page, and the FFXIV main page use two different log-in systems.
I got it to work. I had to go to the SE main page, log in, fill in some general information (name, birth date, address, ect.), then go to the shop and purchase the game manually.
I wonder why it wouldn't allow me to use the FFXIV page to redirect me to the SE shop to buy the game...

I remember when I wanted to join the Lodestone that happened. Now, I can get in, they somehow sync after you register for ffxiv website after registering the SE account. Oh and I couldn't get into Lodestone until I got the Beta invite and registered that code. It wasn't intuitive or seemless. Should be.

same thing happened to me i was getting super frustrated got close to calling them but then i found what you stated about the additional info fill in...weird how something so simple was such a big headache :(
