What are you planning to do for the last week before beta 4?Follow

You said Ni No Kuni. *sigh*

I am about half-way through that game, and my kids beg me to play it all the time. I feel that it teaches a lesson about repetitive Grinding of EXP in 2013.

Take this game that has, original Studio Ghibli Art, a wonderful story, beautiful cell-shaded animation, above par voice acting, absolutely unique and colorful characters and then -
Hide all of the story advancement behind about 2-3 hours of required, repetitive grinding in each and every zone.

2-3 hours of grinding, you say? Hell, I used to grind 12 hours and love it! Used to. Sorry, 2-3 hours of the exact some mobs is boring as hell in 2013. I could stand it for the first 3 hours, then again for another 3 hours, then again for another 3 hours, then again for another 3 hours, then again for another 3 hours, then again for another 3 hours, then again for another 3 hours -

And thats were I am stuck to this day.

Ah, the week before a new MMO release is a perfect time to re-watch Sword Art Online, an anime that is about an MMORPG release.

Anyone here likes Anime? Only the cool ones? Will you watch an awesome Anime with English subtitles?

This series starts off with a new Virtual Reality MMORPG release in Japan. Shortly after the game launches, the players find out there is no log-out button. If fact, the VR helmet cannot be removed at all and will kill any person who tries to remove it. It also fries your brain if you die in-game. The players are directed to complete the 100 level dungeon to be released from the game.

The main character turns out to be a beta tester who has a bit of inside info on - Ok, stop the bus. If you are interested so far you can go watch it here:

I would not bother to suggest this if this wasn't an incredibly entertaining series. Even more so for a group of MMO fans (with really good taste, of course) at this moment in time. I really hope at least a few people here give it a shot and enjoy it as much as I did.

Oh yeah, speaking of anime, I've caught up on a few shows I've been sleeping on. Trigun, Chobits, Fruits Basket, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Gippal from FFX-2 reminds me so much of Vash the Stampede. Vash just needs an eyepatch and they'd be indiscernible.

I guess I could get my characters on World of Warcraft leveled to 90. Then I will be sick of that game and be glad for this release. :)

I've been getting all my professions to 600. I just want the 75 point achievement. Just have engineering, enchanting, and JC to go.

I only have Engineering to get from 1 - 600. I still have about 6 classes not at 90 though. Most are in the 87 range though with full rest. I heard next expansion will be 90 - 100.

That's the first I've heard of that, but ya, they kinda accidentally gave away that the next xpac is 100 when they announced the BOA weps off of Garosh. They have a level cap of 100, and since BOA items usually are only good for the next xpac of content, that would mean the next level cap is 100.

Tru dat. Damn fine game (it's my favorite JRPG outside of Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana).

I'm actually about to load up Xenogears and see how that goes. I've never actually played it.

Last week of my summerjob before the semester starts in September. Also I've been having wrist issues since the beginning of this year, but I've been getting better so I just started playing some League of Legends again last week and I am really enjoying it since it was so long since last time I played (and also because I immidietly mute anyone who starts flaming... which as I am sure a lot of you know the MOBA genre community does a lot haha). I suck and lose a lot, but it is fun so it makes the wait a little easier. :)

Here's the rundown of what everyday will be like:

Work all day on many annoying projects
Go to gym
Come home and perhaps work a bit more, maybe fire up Torchlight II for an hour or two
Pass out while I watch Netflix or Youtube.

Yup.

PLAY MINECRAFT WITH THE LADY! Other than that... maybe some Skyrim, Binding of Issac, a lil bit of Dungeons of Dredmor. Top it all off with some Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands 2... And really refrain from buying any new games >.<

Oh and I suppose learn how to drive a forklift and then run people over.

You're doing it wrong ^.~ Are you fighting the Toki-Toki mobs or whatever they're called? There's 3 progressive sets of them through the game which give mad XP and are excellent for growing your pokemon, er familiars when you grow them. Unless you're using the wrong familiars the game is pretty easy.

Played through Ni No Kuni and The Last of Us so far. Just picked up Tales of Xillia which is pretty fun so far, but something just seems off story telling wise. Maybe because I've never played a Tales game before? Still good overall though, especially the battle and shops systems.

Which kind of football? As we speak I'm watching the Community Shield version of football, but being that I'm from 'Murica and you might be too, you could also mean NFL preseason football.

I'm trying not to buy anymore games, but I keep hearing Tales of Xillia is good. It's bad enough that the wait for ARR has me bouncing from Skyrim to NCAA Football 14 to FF9. AND I'm reading the Malazan Books of the Fallen series (great epic fantasy). I really don't need anything else on my plate but I'm curious.

I am doing nothing different. Nothing I SAY!

I want this to fit into my schedule and not the other way around. Too many times I burned out of a game by binging on it through beta/first month. Going to try something completely different and see what happens.

I loved Sword Art Online. Good stuff. I'll be flying to San Antonio the weekend of P4, Then hopefully the week before launch I'll get all the chores I've been too distracted to do done.

I kinda need to get this week over with. It's like an obnoxious endless calm before a storm. Also it looks like I might get the week of the 27th off, so it's definitely game on.
