Hate to make another "Is this PC good enough" threadFollow

I read these forums a lot but had to sign up for this. I would honestly consider building your own pc. It's not that hard and you will get a better spec for the price. As an example I just spec'd a pc on scan.co.uk and for £450 you could get the parts for a complete system inc delivery with a quad core AMD CPU, 8gb ram, 1tb HDD and a AMD hd7850 graphics card. Posting this on my phone so I can't link anything atm but after building my own pc I could never go back to a pre-built system. Also you could get a 120gb SSD for your os and programs for £78 that would provide a significant boost over using a HDD.
Good luck with whatever you decide and see you in eorzea.

As Mitch and others have said building your own computer is easy. How easy you might ask, well I walked my 60 yr old mom through it over the phone in less than two hours. Yep it's really that easy.

Also I run almost this exact computer and it runs most everything I throw at it on high with good fps.

My setup
Amd fx-6300
Asus m5a97
Corsair builders 500w psu
8gb crucial ram
Gigabyte HD 7850
WD 1tb HDD
All in a cheap thermaltake v4 case I picked up for under $20.

I picked up parts when they were on sale so I saved a bit that way but it's still a good deal at regular price. Now if my Samsung 840 ssd and corsair h55 CPU water cooler ever show up I'll be happy.

A 430W psu is plenty for the 7700 series. Those cards use around 58W at max.

Also, in response to the thread title:
Patrick Stewart: "Then don't do it! Why do something that you hate to do?!"
