Speaking of the coeurl mount, does anybody know if the pre-order mount is different than the chocobo or just a dat swap? For example, do you think the courel will have a healing or tank mode?
As for the unicorns, they look cool. I'll have to name mine Swifty from She-Ra if they let us name them. :P

It does seem like there are going to be quite a variety of mounts running around from pretty early on, but I suspect that we'll still see a fairly large number of people using chocobos. I think the barding options will probably make them feel a bit more customizable, and I wouldn't be surprised if chocobos were the only mounts you could name yourself.
And I can't say for sure, but I haven't seen anything about using other mounts as NPC companions/buddies. Chocobos might still have a monopoly on that market.

Currently, I believe only your chocobo is allowed to work as your companion. I think I remember seeing it posted somewhere that in the future other mounts would be able to fill that role. I'm not sure if they would end up having the same skills though.

It's actually an old myth that unicorns are only tameable by someone who is a virgin. Sometimes the myth is goes further, like saying only a virgin female can do so, or that you can't even see a unicorn unless you're a virgin.

Yes, after reading a few lewd Harry Potter fanfiction stories, I know about the myth. Just not sure how a joke could be made from it in this context. I don't want to know, really.
