As EA starting on 24th, so I went to the EB game store which I pre ordered my PS3 copy and asked them if I can get my PS3 copy on 24th. The staff told me they can't give me the game on 24th as the game coming out on 27th which will break their street release date. I told them without serial number I can't register the game so I wouldn't be able to play it on 24th. They said they can't do anything. So even I pre order it I still can't play early, what can I do, very frustrated to talk to those people.

I guess I missed the memo, but why do you need the serial number? I'm also waiting for the PS3 version, but I thought we had to wait for the codes to be emailed to us. Am I missing something?

I think u need to call them up and they will give it to u.at least that's what I heard a few people who didnt get the code did

hey dont give you teh physical game early for early access they give you a code (which you should have on your receipt if not get one from the) that you use on early access date to download and play the game early then you can pick up where you left off when you pick up the game on the 27th

There's really nothing wrong with the staff no one will be getting the physical copy until the 27th, in order to get in the early access you should have been given a 18 digit promotional code on your receipt. You will use this code to download the game from the playstation network, currently it isn't available for download (unless i missed a memo) but should be ready closer to the 24th. Hope this helped ya
If you didn't receive your code or lost your receipt i would suggest calling the retailer and seeing if they can possibly print you a new one.

From my understanding the 18 digit promo code is good fro all the in game bonus items you get for preordering, the items should be delivered to you by moogle when early access starts.
That makes sense to me. I guess it's all these threads on these forums that made me second guess how this will work.

I am pretty sure that you have to register the 18 digit code on the relevant early access website where they will then give you a different code to register in the Playstation shop (as you cant register 18 digit codes there).

Just call up there customer service and say you never got your preorder code and they should give you one. Maybe you should have asked on here befor you went and yelled at people at EB for doing there jobs.

Not sure. Someone got happy with the down rate button. Being a PS3 player it seemed like the posts were all legitimate to me so I R+. Now they are "Good".
Actually only the initial post was rated down, Decent is actually above average karma. I expect he was rated down for calling the EB Games employee dumb, not everyone is following the details of this game, it's not even clear what is going on to those who do.
Customers like the OP is why Customer Service jobs suck.
I was at EB Saturday, and asked them when they opened on the 27th and if the game would be available to be picked up at that time. 10am, not midnight. That's was disappointing.

When I was talking to a SE customer service rep he told me I needed a new code for P4 so my husband can fix his issue and said to just wait till the 17th and I can get a code than. So keep an eye out, the way he made it seem was everyone can get one after the 17th.

Interesting information, whilst I know that this applies to PC are you 100% confident it also applies to PS3.
The reason I ask is that I am pretty sure you need a new code for P4 which might suffice for launch but how do you get the P4 and launch client without a new P4 code? There doesn't seem to be a way to access the new client without it.

Ps3 will need a code for p4 regardless of participation in p3.... dling the client/game from the ps store will depend on it
