I was hoping somebody could briefly explain a couple questions I had about guildleves

Ive watched yogacast video on these so I kinda have the basic idea but I noticed in her log the quest she accepted was lvl 10 and her thaum was level 15. So is there no level sync with these because it didn't seem like she was deleveled? Is the experience points based on what level you are vs the level of quest? I realize there is the +4 difficulty u can make it harder but does it still base the XP u get on what level you are to begin with. Like is there a point if your lvl 20 and choose a lvl 10 guildleve even if you do +4 difficulty ?

Lastly I watched that mrhappy video ppl were talking about and he was saying to save the guildleve quests for later. which was why I was confused alittle bit. From yogacast video it says you can choose 3 every 12 hours? The way I understood that is u can keep doing 3 guildleves every 12hr and then they reset and you can do another 3? Is that right or am I misunderstanding that. Confuses me why mrhappy would say to save them when from what I read you can do them every 12hr so why save them?

Thanks

For levequests, they are grouped every 5 levels, starting at level 10. So there are level 10 leves, level 15, 20, etc. The base difficulty is level 10, but if you do the +4 difficulty, it's basically like adding 4 levels to leve, and it does increase your experience reward while making the mobs tougher. So in this way, there are basically leves for every level from 10+. There isn't any point to doing low level leves on a higher class however, unless you are just looking for mobs to complete your hunting log.

And yes, you get 3 leves every 12 hours. You will keep getting more, and can actually save your allowances up to 99. The point of saving is if you want to use them for another class at a later time, or save them for grand company leves, which award seals you can use to buy gear and also spawn rare mobs that you will need to complete your grand company hunting log. Also, using leves for gathering classes is a much more efficient way to level them, so it's always a good idea to save as many as you can for those situations.

They are actually level 0 and level 5 guildleves as well, but you cannot do it on your first class (since they unlock at level 10).

It's possible to do them on your other class that you level afterward.

Well to first clarify something.
There are guild leves, and leve quests.

Leve quests are what the others have discussed.

Guild leves are something different. They are like the main mission quests that only open up at certain levels, and are handed out in the field at the same locations as the leve quests. The difference is they are like a mini dungeon where you get a huge exp bonus on the first clear, and pretty poo rewards on all clears after the first. these DO level sync you so taking on a level 15 GL at level 19 will sync you to 15

I thought it was the first clear per job, but i guess it might just be first clear over all.

I can confirm that it is just the first clear over all, or at least it was in phase 3. It seems they are making some changes to guildleves, so who knows what it will be now. Also, good call on the clarification. He mentioned guildleves but was definitely talking about levequests.

There is a bonus reward for difficulty and a bonus reward based on completion time. One thing I noticed is that there appears to be a cap for the total reward you can get, based on the difficulty. For example, when leveling a 2nd class during P3, I did a levequest with high enough increased difficulty that it basically pushed the target level up to the next group (i.e. I was level 6, attempting a level 5 levequest, and did +4 level difficulty).

I got some combination of bonus for difficulty and time completion, which came out to +205% exp. It seemed like a strange number. But then I noticed that the total reward was exactly the same as the base reward for level 10 levequests.

So my guess is that even though there are 5 level gaps between sets of levequests, the reward cap is set up to gradually scale up. That way, we're not looking at a level 5 levequest being a decent reward at level 5, but not good enough at level 9 -- which is the impression you might get just looking at the base reward amount.

I tried to cheat the craft guildeve turn in process by playing another class when I turn in the required item. Despite being on a different class, they still gave me the XP for my craft skill. Oh well, lol
