Step 3: On the XrossMediaBar, select Account Management under the PlayStation Network category
Step 4: Select Redeem Codes - this brings up a screen to enter the code you have received
Step 5: Enter code and follow the steps on screen to download the client

No, it's a mix-up with regions. NA people who have received codes so far have all gotten EU codes. You can't redeem an EU code with an NA PSN account. There is a workaround to simply make a new EU PSN account, redeem the code there and download the file, and then play the game on your regular PSN account. It's still a hassle.

Did you receive your code in the same email that you received your P3 code in? Just curious cause I've not seen anything at all in my email and my brothers and friends have all gotten there's and only one other has even participated in P3 with me...

It was a new email, that is what I pasted above. I hope that the code works because I may cry if it doesn't after getting this excited. I'm staring at the time clock with anticipation.

Keep in mind Nashred that this is only for the PS3. If you're on PC, all you need to do is download the launcher and wait until tomorrow to update the client. I only say this because you ask about any of us being in phase 2, when it was PC-only.

Yea but my girlfriend plays on the ps3 and I do from time to time. I mostly play on the pc.
She really wants to play bad. She is leaving for a month just few days before early entry. So she is going to miss almost a month right off the bat so it is important to her to play this weekend.

Canadian users in P3 had this exact same issue, so the codes are not NA/EU specific. They are COUNTRY specific (or however PSN defines its "regions"). I had to create a US PSN account redeem my code, switch back to my CAN PSN account to initiate the download. Its a hassle, but worth it to get the download going.

This is comforting. Now the only source of anxiety is the fact that I don't have my beta code yet!

The old client definately will NOT work. You have to download the new client.

^Yeah, but I'm not too sure if the country thing matters this time around for P4 codes. I had to make a US account to activate my P3 code because I put down USA as the country, but I just plugged in the P4 code straight to my CDN account without any hassel. >_>

The way I understand it (if it works like the beta P3) then what we are DLing is a launcher but the size suggests that there is a bit more than the launcher so IDK. The actual client shouldn't be avalible till tomorrow.
