I Can See Clearly Now
August 14, 2013

Greetings, all!
Bayohne here with an exclusive scoop that you won’t find anywhere else (assuming that you haven’t already read the Beta Test phase 4 patch notes)!

We received a lot of requests to create a method to raise and lower the visor on the warrior artifact helmet.
Well, the Twelve have heard your pleas and we’ve created the /visor emote to do just that. It just so happens to work on select other headgear as well.

With the simple flick of your wrist, or by typing in the /visor command on your keyboard, you too can raise and lower the visor on your helmet!

Here, let me demonstrate.

Here we have a helmet with the visor closed.

But if I were to press the new button we created for this emote…

Whoa, check that out! I can totally see everything!

Hey, wait.

This isn’t funny guys.

Okay, enough. I’m changing my gear.

This is much better.

…I’m going home.

Yeah that thing is sick.

Now if they'd only let you swing the Summoner Horn to a more jaunty angle lol

Ya know like how Frank Sinatra wears a fedora at a bit of an angle. I just thought it would be cool to wear your summoner horn off to the side all Venger style. :)

Thank goodness I won't have to worry about any face-covering helmets as a monk. All I have is a feather.

As I was planning to primarily level DoM classes I may have to reconsider after this news.

I foresee many opportune moments to use this handy emote:

About to battle a primal? /visor

Wish you could have a 'talk to the hand' emote for clingy party members? /visor

Walking away from the after shock of a meteor spell? /visor

The possibilities are limitless!

They should add this function to glasses. If it's just a pair of glasses, /visor could allow them to rest on top of your head. If you have a hat and glasses like SCH AF, it could toggle them on or off.

Edit: The same goes for goggles, masks, and the like.

As long as they keep the option to hide head gear totally I'm fine with this. I have always loved the option of totally hiding the head gear.
Some of the designs are just outright ugly and should never been seen my anyone.
