Sorry if this has been covered but I tried searching around the forums but couldn't get a definite answer.
So I preordered the game on PSN and downloaded the 6.5GB client yesterday. Today, I received a PS3 beta code from a kind soul here. From what I've read so far, the PS3 code enables you to download the P4 client from PSN. Does it give me P4 access on the 16th though? I was not in P3 so my SE account does not have the beta registered. Basically is that 12 digit code (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) I received going to help me at all since I already have the live client from the PSN store? Or do I still have to wait till the 17th to apply and then register my SE account to play in P4?
Just really confused with the PSN digital download and the P4 client. If I have no need for that beta code, then I'll just pass it along.

I'm in the same boat. I have an 18 digit code (XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX) from when I preordered for early access, and thanks to Veagan, I have a 12 digit B4 code (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) for PS3. I do have a SE account I registered last week, and have only preordered the game with Gamestop, not PSN, so I don't have the client downloaded. I am under the impression that when I get home I will go to the Playstation Store and click "redeem code" and input my B4 code and some magical process will occur that will let me download a client. Do you all concur, or is there something that I am missing?

Yeah I'm pretty sure the 12 digit B4 code allows you to download the client. The 18 digit is something you register with SE for early access but that's only open on the 20th. Were you in phase 3 because I'm not sure having that B4 code gets us in on the 16th if we weren't in P3?

No I wasn't in Beta 3, and up until now, I thought I wasn't in Beta 4 either. I only had early access. I'm not concerned about getting in on the 16th but I would like to get in on the 17th with the open beta.

Oh then you should be good just redeeming the B4 code to download the client when you get home. That way when you apply for the OB on the 17th, you can just register the OB to your SE account and start playing :)

Yup that's right. The 12 digit key is all you need to download the B4 client. I don't know much about linking so maybe some phase 3 PS3 testers can chime in.
