How do I download client??Follow

I just preordered the game and received a download link with these instructions, "Save file Final_Fantasy_XIV_Early_Access_Instructions.pdf to your Desktop. After saving, run the file to install your new software." However all that is is a PDF file, running it doesnt commence any game download, it just opens a pdf file... I'm confused ><

also, in addition to this issue, I'm also confused about what my "pre-order code" is which it says to keep safe... yet nothing I received labels anything as being my pre-order code, I'm assuming that my serial number will work for that? The only other number i received is my order number. Why don't they make these things clearer? /sigh
