Are you seriously complaining about this kind of thing again? Can you not see that this means it's got a lot of interest from players?

Calm down Adzieboy. It is frustrasting but no-one is really complaining, just keen to play and frustrated.

I dont think I have ever played launch day of an MMO that did not have massive issues, though I did expect SE to get this right given the stress tests already performed and the fact that they really want this launch to go well after version 1.0.

Also, they have fragmented the population into multiple parts with some starting today, some tomorrow, some early access, and some final release. I was confident this would go well - perhaps it wont. No-one is complaining that much though.

Not sure what this has to do with anything. It's 3 years beyond initial launch. You don't think they should know what their servers are capable of by now? Oh wait, they are up and running in Japan. Working as intended Smiley: sly

If you can't load the NA/EU servers despite refreshing every 3 minutes, reboot the client. You'll have to risk getting the lobby error, but I got it only once before managing the get back into character creation.

That's as far as you get? Character creation? You can play with that on the benchmark. I don't think that needed any more testing Smiley: glare

Apparently all this broo haa haa kicked off my girlfriend's download, resulting in her having to restart the 13 hour download... so much for playing with her.

It keeps kicking her off saying that the servers are busy a few minutes after she restarts the download... GG SE.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. A buddy of mine that I let use my account to try beta is hammering away at the login too. He said he can get to character creation and make a character, but when he confirms his server he goes to loading screen, then gets the all too common login server error that most people are running into.

I would have thought that servers with old 1.0 characters would be coming up first for the loyal to get first crack at least. /shrug

If you have it downloaded on your computer, you can copy your SquareEnix folder from Program Files and paste it onto her computer. Then no need for her to download it all again.
