Could anyone give me a quick run down of whats open and whats closed as far as the NA servers go?

I played for an hour on ultros as soon as the servers were up. But went to work at 6. I'll be here all day and its gonna kill me:p

Well me and some others up here at the office intended on getting in Ultros but it appears its full. 3 Hours to go before I get to the house. Probably will end up on a different server at this point.
does this mean Ultros will be permanently full... as in it wont allow anyone to create characters on it even at early release or retail release of the game? My whole FC is on Ultros and I have to wait until tomorrow to get in... does this mean I wont be able to? :(

Question, I have a 1.0 character on Excalibur will I be forced to wait until its open again or can I shoot right on in?

I would assume once your character is on the server you should be able to just jump right in. I believe the server lock out is for creating new characters. Could be wrong though.

I think from my experience that you are right.
The servers being locked or not seem to be varying and/or rotating. Just a wild guess with no evidence to support it but I think maybe they are temp-locking some servers just to try to steer new characters to some that may not be getting as much traffic. I was trying to make a character on Ultros earlier and it was locked, I went and got a drink and threw a load of laundry in the washer then refreshed the server list and Ultros was back up and available. I just imagine some guy sitting at SE HQ saying "lock Ultros, Excalibur, and these other servers for 10 minutes so we can get some people to join Goblin and Leviathan".

That's a good theory.
