When I installed FFXI on my 360, it needed me to link to my Gamertag. When I signed up for the FFXIV beta, I had to link to my PSN name. So this means my PSN and Gamertag are linked!
To take this another step, since I had to link my PSN name to my Steam account, my Steam account are linked with my SE account and Gamertag!

They aren't truly linked unless you specifically link them. Just using the same name does not make them linked. It has to be in the infrastructure itself. For example, if you log into a service and it doesn't have or there is no way to access details about the other, then they are not linked.
