And all they do is provide the list of server's you CAN'T create new characters on... providing completely new relevant information from their last post, where they listed the servers you COULD.

I guess phase 4 is already over for NA/EU...

Oh, so you're not going to be a paying subscriber when the beta ends?

Ive seen this happen 3 years ago and SE handled it the same way. Im afraid we are watching history repeat itself.

This game is perfectly playable. The servers are screwed up is all.

1.0 was fundamentally broken, and SE ignored people telling them that from their alpha test onward. You have a very curious notion of history repeating itself.

This very bug struck in beta of 1.0 and still is around.

Hmm.. I never encountered this one in the 1.0 beta. Doesn't mean it wasn't there of course, but I never heard anything about it.

Game != Servers

The GAME is what made 1.0 miserable.

It is rather odd that they say it like this now. You would think that if this is the case then their next best bet would be to shut down servers for 10 minutes and start it up to see if that fixes it. if it does then they just need to figure out why an abrupt simultaneous disconnect causes players to be unable to log back in.

Least then they could test to see if the issue comes back up and if it does then look for the trigger that caused it.

What good would that do? the problem is ongoing so we would just be right back in the same situation after a short amount of time, the game is playing just fine on the JP servers I have been having a great time, although the servers are crowded there are no problems and they are stable. So just relax and let them fix things meanwhile just hang out on the JP servers with the rest of us.

If this happens in Early Release time people will be even more upset due to paying to play in that small window. I think this is why they need a few more days to resolve these issues. Its house befor the beta are over and they have no idea what is causing this issue. How will they fix it without people trying to get on?

They need to fix this and extend beta to know they solved the issue... Otherwise if they don't before the end of beta they will never know for sure they fixed it till people start logging on again.

This is the right mindset to be in. Resetting the servers would do nothing toward fixing the problem from happening going forward. Let them find out what caused this so they can fix it during BETA so we aren't all stuck when it goes live.

I'm actually the only one out of my real life friends who got hit with this. They're all running around and posting screenshots of themselves in subligar on Facebook and having a grand old time without me. Smiley: frown

They tweeted again -
While recovery is not fully complete, we have been able to address a large number of characters that were affected by error 3102

If you have submitted your World/Character Name on the Error 3102 thread we created, please check to see if you can log in.

If you're still unable to log in, we ask that you please wait and try again later as we work to address the issue for remaining characters.

I'm still unable to log in, so I will be waiting.

This is what I did earlier since I doubt SE will fix the 90000 error during open beta.

Anyone try restarting their PC/PS3 when this happened?

I haven't had this happen to me in FFXIV, but in my time playing FFXI, I've had, though rare, similar problems where if I try to connect after getting disconnected or logging off, it would say my character was still logged in. However, if I restarted my system, I would be able to log in without any problems. Not saying it will work for this case, but just asking.
