Oldschool Alpha Tester, thinking of returning...Follow

Some of them are from the summer event only, and will be back next summer. Some of them are crafted only and are available year round at market prices. Some basic stuff can be purchased from NPCs very cheaply. The Cascadier Voucher was good for the purchase of one free swimsuit from an NPC in Mor Dhona, but the voucher was also only available during the summer event.

The starter AF armor is pretty easy to get - you get four pieces from your level 45 job quest, and the last piece from the level 50 quest. You can then get iLvl 90 relic armor by acquiring "antique" drops from the current Expert level dungeons and trading them in via a mini quest. And because of the glamour system, even if you replaced everything with the latest iLvl 120 Ironworks set, you can continue to look like you're wearing level 45-50 artifact armor if you liked the way it looked. Many white mages continue to do that. (Or, more importantly, you can overwrite some ugly *** armor sets. WTF were they thinking with the BLM/SMN soldiery set? Bleah.)

I don't think there's a list anyone has compiled on the Internet or anything, but the Market Board has an option to "try on" any gear that is listed, and the swimsuits are level one, so once you're in game you can "try on" all the clothes that look vaguely swimsuit like.

Unfortunately, crafting in this game is mostly designed where money comes from low level vanity gear such as those swimsuits, so yes, they will be far more expensive than seems reasonable. You can find hempen underclothing and dye it for a sort of psuedo-swimsuit look if you like, that may help until summer rolls around again.

The event last couple have been in august so it'll be a while yet.

You get the black swimsuit quickly and for free though. It's from the cascadier voucher which IIRC is a 60 or 90 day veteran reward.

Swimsuits are available year round. Just not the summer event specific ones.
