As a fan of the music from FF games, I keep an eye on the Distant Worlds tour. There's a new Distant Worlds album out (the third one), it includes two tracks from FFXIV, "Answers" and "Primal Judgement". They aren't my favorite tracks, but it's nice to see XIV being represented.
The full track list is:
1.Hymn of the Fayth - The Sending (FINAL FANTASY X) 04:48
2.Battle & Victory Theme Medley (FINAL FANTASY SERIES) 04:49
3.Kiss Me Good-Bye (FINAL FANTASY XII) 04:49
4.Not Alone (FINAL FANTASY IX) 03:57
5.Balamb GARDEN ~ Ami (FINAL FANTASY VIII) 05:28
6.Character Theme Medley (FINAL FANTASY VI) 06:27
7.Fabula Nova Crystallis (FINAL FANTASY XIII) 02:51
8.Blinded By Light (FINAL FANTASY XIII) 04:10
9Primal Judgment (FINAL FANTASY XIV) 05:08
10.Roses of May (FINAL FANTASY IX) 03:45
11.Chocobo Medley 2012 (FINAL FANTASY SERIES) 05:32
12.Balance Is Restored (FINAL FANTASY VI) 05:05
13.Answers (FINAL FANTASY XIV) 07:09
If you go here you can stream all of the tracks, as well as buy the album if you like what you hear.
As to the tour itself, there is a pretty solid line up of NA cities this year:
April 24th: Boston, MA
May 15th: St. Louis, MO
June 17th: Los Angeles, CA
July 10th Seattle, WA
August 1st: Pittsburgh, PA
October 29th, Rochester, NY
I was pretty damn excited to see Pittsburgh on the list this year. It's only about an hour drive for me, so I'll definitely be going to this one. They did a Pittsburgh show a couple years ago that was great, but they didn't have the space for a choir, so a few songs just couldn't be done. They're at a different concert hall this year and will have a choir, so I'm really looking forward to it.
