Listing yourself in a raid finder tool is literally no different than sitting in Jeuno with your flag up.

It's actually a lot different.

If you make a raid listing to recruit a group, then you're saying, "I'm the leader here, I'm going to put in the time and effort to organize this, and the buck stops with me."

Raid finder has you write a description, list your group so people can see what you are interested in and you wait for people who are interested to contact you. In XI, you write a description, list yourself so people can see what you are interested in and you wait for people who are interested to contact you. Who is leading or being led matters little because you're still doing the same thing.

There's a difference between being a leader and being the leader of your group. One makes you qualified to form a competent team of players to clear a raid and the other affords you an icon next to your name. The people who are willing to lead a successful raid don't need a tool because they already realize that it's not saving them any 'work'.

The fact that it's cross-server is a wash. Like I said earlier you do increase the player pool which increases your odds of recruiting or being recruited, but those odds are offset by the fact that you're also introducing more competition for your raid spots and more inexperienced players looking for a carry.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

It's the same old, same old formula. Don't think it's going to change too much for the next year or so, if ever. Like I say, their focus seems to be towards making things pretty at this point. Half the threads if not more are about adding certain dresses or suits, or whatever and it's what they're going to keep doing. It's little work with good rewards from the cash shop.

Then when people bring up "bad players" in terms of low DPS, or bad healing, they get flamed beyond anything. Most defend the bad play saying it doesn't matter, this is why nothing ever improves in the DF.

Sadly, that's only NA/EU DF, not prevalent in the JP DF largely (not immune, but people are far more likely to take into consideration you're actually playing with other people.)

Since yeah, you have large topics on English general OF defending bad gameplay "No I will not use my abilities at level 60, I just hit 60 and not used to them so don't expect me to use them in roulette!" but continually ignore you can't even do ex dungeons until you've not only been 60, but required to run a fairly lengthy dungeon with the SOLE PURPOSE of getting you used to your new rotations before you can access the actual tome dungeons.

As for 3.2 itself, nothing exciting and waiting to see what they do with monster scaling to take into consideration all tanks will have bloated HP now. You can as of now, but nothing takes into consideration more than 14k HP for tanks if you know how to play (even tank busters don't hit that hard mitigated.)

Seems they spent most of the dev time on the PvP system though..

I doubt they will do much in that regard, to be honest, for one big reason:
The "bloated" HP you're claiming tanks will have is actually the HP they're *supposed* to have in the first place

That's why I'm waiting to see if they actually scale it because sitting at 20-23k hp is kind of pointless atm when 14-17k (stretching it) already serves you perfectly fine. Since above all this means DRKs who pop on/rely on (in a few cases like A4S) Living Dead will likely almost always die with a double SCH setup, nevermind if you have 2 DRKs lol.

So while we're supposed to have it technically, no unmitigated attack from current content does more 18k damage (unless it's meant to auto kill you if you mess up) if you're at the appropriate gear level. So now that tanks will be expected to sit at no less than 20k (this is also taking into consideration VIT spec instead of STR spec like most tanks do currently) there's going to have to be some kind of balancing going on, especially with how much of a hard on Yoshi has for Balance lol.

Living Dead is an even worse ability than Holmgang (a lot of times Holmgang aused me deaths that I think I could have avoided, as a result of being bound and unable to dodge an aoe right as the buff drops... that sort of thing is circumstantial and unlucky though; Living Dead on the other hand pretty much actively tries to kill you) and I therefore didn't even grace it with a slot on my two crossbars.

Besides, with all this "surplus" HP tanks are supposedly going to have now, they should have even less reason to ever need it, right?

All I can say is, newfound HP or not, I'm sure groups of randoms will find ways to let me die anyway.
