That is just plain Bull sh*t sherpajohn. The servers are not up.
I am not sure I would call it that, but then I tend not to swear in public forums. Though I admit to having no empirical evidence to back up my claim, it is based on the following post made by an employee of SoE:

Officially the game does not launch until tomorrow. However some people may have received their copy of EQ2 already, which is why we have the servers up and available to be logged into today instead of tomorrow.

Perhaps in future you should do some investigation before making rude declarations on the information provided by others? Or maybe when you get your EQ 2 created you can go into the official forums and call Chad a BS'r?
EDIT: Why should they keep the servers down? It give both SoE and those fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to have the game in hand today, a chance to try it out - maybe shake down some bugs, so that when it "Officialy" launches tomorrow things may go smoother. While I am anxious to get my hands on it as well, in another way I am glad I have to wait a couple of days...when I do get it perhaps I will know of some things to watch out for. For instance, folks with both GeForce and ATI based cards are having some issues, others are having problems with the All Access pass, etc.
