So what race is everyone gonna be?Follow

I'm going between a DE sk and a Troll sk. I've been playing a DE in beta a like it, making both and doing betrayal with which ever I like less. A troll paladin would be fun. And then making a pure caster probably a rat. and a frogloc as soon as i figure out how to open them.

Im playing a Gnome Sorcerer right now and will prob be that when the game goes GA. Also thinking about playing a Bard (not sure what the best race for that is)

Well, I've come up with all my choices, cuz I never like to just play ONE thing. I think I am going to have to spread it across 2 servers though. I am thinking of these choices:

Evil server:
Iksar Mage --> Conjurer --> Necromancer
Artisan --> Scholar --> Sage

Ratonga Scout --> Predator --> Assassin
Artisan --> Scholar --> Alchemist

Ogre --> Fighter --> Brawler --> Bruiser
Artisan --> Outfitter --> Weaponsmith

Dark Elf --> Priest --> Cleric --> Inquisitor
Artisan --> Craftsman --> Carpenter

This way I have one of each type of class to work with, and at least one of each main artisan branch. This should give a pretty good blend of class skill and tradeskills for all of my chars. Continuing with that in mind:

Good Server:

Dwarf --> Priest --> Cleric --> Templar
Artisan --> Outfitter --> Armorer

Kerran --> Scout --> Predator --> Ranger
Artisan --> Craftsman --> Woodworker

Barbarian --> Warrior --> Fighter --> Berserker
Artisan --> Craftsman --> Provisioner

Erudite Mage --> Enchanter --> Illusionist
Artisan --> Scholar --> Sage

However nice Jeweler and Alchemist may be, having the ability to do all your spell and skill upgrades seems to outweigh those. That's at least my opinion on it.

I would never pick a human. Also I hope I dont have the some problem as I did with EQ1 I wasted over a month trying to find a class I liked played every class but prue meleee, pally, SK, druild, and Chanter. But my favs. where Ranger, BST, and mage.

I wanna try ratman rogue. it would be fun if a ratman duel with a Kerra.

but sadly their stats are not as good as Halfing for rogues. but who knows. I have seen a Gnome warrior fight even better than a Troll in EQ 1.

I am not in the beta, but from what I have heard, having 30 in a stat isn't necessarily going to be the "best" thing. I saw (forget the url) an article where someone was saying that having a good average stat list was more preferrable. If that is the case, the Human would for once actually be the better race to pick, as they are 20 across the board.

Half Elf Swashbuckler.

I plan on being a Paladin. I think either Dwarf or Barbarian. not sure yet. I have a story line I am role playing and think it will play well to be a Barbarian to follow the story line I created.
I can't wait for it to begin. I am so excited lol :)
