We have our copies of EQ2.Follow

Still nothing here in Toronto - put $120 down on 2xCE at the downtown EB- said they would call Wednesday. We called them at 10am - not in. GF says we can wait til Friday - but my fear is if it still is not in, we won't be able to find any other copies. I have half a mind to just get a refund and buy the regular version that I know I can get a block away at FutureShop. But then no baby dragons or nice wall maps for us ;(

I have ordered a cd version of the game from EB games, and I did get the Starter Kit.....but I have never received an email confirmation from them about my order. They Shipped Free. I also have an order in thru SONY .....I paid $6.95 for the shipping of the free Starter kit there, and all together I ended up paying Sony $109. for the CE shipping and handeling plus the $6.95. I live in LA california, and I am not understanding why some are getting theirs, and others are not....I have not received either one of my copies yet.....But as someone posted above I too got that email about the orders being held up in customs over seas, because of the Tins they are packed in. But that doesn't Jive with others getting theirs already, seems to me they would all be released at the same time.....I cannot stand dishonesty...And when you pay for next day delivery....you don't expect to get it 5 days after everyone else did....I want my delivery charges back....forget the lousy 7 extra trial days they gave me for my inconvenience....Which I will never be able to use, because I understand if I have the Station Pass account for EQ & EQII, I will forfeit my 30 day trial period in EQII....so that forfeits the extra 7 days too doesnt it?......Thanks Sony.....For rewarding one of your dedicated customers, who up until this point has spent much money on your expansions, as well as the need to spend money on my pc so I could play your game....and oh Yeah.....the monthly fee....Hmmmmmmm

well I got mine from Gamestop tuesday.. but my GF's copy didn't show up (she ordered at a different gamestop) then we cancelled that one cause they said they wouldn't have it til "some time next week".. and went to another gamestop who said they'd have it tomorrow...

and so I called them today and low and behold.. no EQ2.. they're saying tomorrow likely, monday at the latest...

What the hell is the point of a pre-order these days? Once upon a time (I'm 32 by the way) companies ordered shipments based on pre-orders AND overflow potential, however it appears that this trend has come to an abrupt halt as of the last few years. I understand not wanting to have stock sitting on the shelves but come on.. one or two more copies over the pre-order numbers will not sit long... nor kill shelf space..

and another thing.. people (gamestores) get your $%!@ story straight... Now I'm going to have to deal with a VERY VERY PISSED OFF GIRLFRIEND who has a temper that can eclipse a small sun. If you're UNCERTAIN about product availability.. even marginally so.. don't say otherwise to get a sale.. I'm aggrivated, She's going to be 510% PISSED TO THE HIGH HEAVENS.. and honestly I cannot blame her..

Once upon a time when you did a pre-order you actually.. got the game the DAY of release.. O_O OMG what a concept it was shipped so you had it.. that day, I miss those days.... Everyone else not lucky enough to get an overflow copy had to wait an extra day or week.. so WHY when she dropped 90$ is she having to wait 5 to 7 days?!?!?!?!?!

I've noticed this trend happening more and more. I quit pre-ordering at EB due to "oh we'll have it tomorrow" and tomorrow came 5 damn days in a row.. looks like GameStop's going to have to go on the Buyer Beware list as well..

hell I think I'm going to just cut the middle-man-crap in all future game purchases and order it direct from the company if at all possible.. what a total f'ing fiasco this has become...

edit: I sent a copy of this to the suggestions email at Gamestop by the way.. will it do any good, probably not.. but at least they realize if this continues they'll loose business from a lot more than just me.

I understand your plight with all this preorder chaos, but have one bit of advice. It's a GAME man. If your gf is going to bust your balls becauuse a lousy game is late, she's not worth having around. I'd never put up with that **** from my gf. If i forgot her birthday, i'd expect it and deserve it, but because a game is late? There's the door sweetheart, use it!

Silly me. I preordered two copies of C.E. from the Sony store online. on nov 5 i get email telling me my ordered product was "in stock". ok, sounds Great! nov 8 i get email telling me of customs issues over the "tin". site now says the C.E. is out of stock and wont ship til tomorrow the 12th and so with two day shipping the soonest i can expect delivery of 209.00 worth of software will be sunday if not monday.. a week after release. my friends who ordered thru ebgames have their copies... Im so pleased with the care and concern Sony has for the pple who spend so much money on their products..i cant wait to preorder more stuff from such a reliable source.... (note the sarcasm)
