They did away with the hand-me-downs concept, but Heirloom quests are in EQII. They let you quest for items from EQI.

I remember hearing about that at the begining development, but honestly I think that it went the way of the dinosaurs. Havent heard anything on the subject. It really wouldnt matter anyways because its not like you could transfer any type of weapon, armor, etc cause that would lead to balance issues for people. Now maybe some kind of plaque or something or a picture of your charac in EQlive to hang on your wall would be cool, but again havent heard much..but who know maybe down the road

Actually, by doing a /claim, you are able to inherit a server based title and a portrait of some sort to put into your EQ2 house. The title itself can reflect what server on EQ1 you came from...for example: "<Your name> of Tholuxe Paells" would be your title.
